If you’re anything like me, you are always looking for fun places to go with the kids. Sacramento & Elk Grove are filled with some great kid friendly places to visit.
Here is a list of some of my favorite toddler friendly places to visit in Sacramento and Elk Grove.
My kids love the Sacramento Zoo. Located in Land Park, this cute zoo has a lot of really fun features for littles. We enjoy going on the train and the carousel. My kids love seeing the lions, meerkats, giraffes, and otters. Forgot to pack a lunch? No worries, they have cafe full of kid friendly options! If you enjoy your visit, I highly recommend getting the annual pass, it pays for itself quickly.
I love Fairytale Town with kids under six. This park features slides and playgrounds based on classic fairytales. They also have several different petting zoo animals. Interested in their special activities? Fairytale town hosts events for holidays, has a weekly toddler time where kids get to interact with one of the animals, and summer camp outs. So much fun!
Once again, if your family can swing a season pass this is a great place to have one!
This location is great for older toddler friendly places to visit in Sacramento and Elk Grove. Funderland is a small amusement park located in William Land Park. You purchase play passes for an afternoon and kids can ride to their hearts content. Looking for a place to host a birthday party? Funderland offers birthday packages that will make any kid smile!
The Musuem of Science and Curiosity is located near Discovery Park. Backed by SMUD you will find a lot of information about California’s water and energy systems. While their are areas for little kids to explore, we found that this may be a better place for elementary to middle school aged children
The Children’s Museum is located in Rancho Cordova. This is a great location for kids under six years of age and toddler friendly places to visit in Sacramento and Elk Grove. With lots of imaginative play areas your kids are likely to stay busy for hours. From dress up, kitchens, theaters, arts and crafts, and water play, it’s hard to stay still for very long. I highly recommend on a weekday (if you can swing it) as weekends can often get busy and a bit chaotic.
Wacky Tacky is an indoor playground located in Rancho Cordova. They have three separate areas each with its own unique theme. They also offer party packages with fairly reasonable prices so if you need somewhere to host your kids birthday this is a great location to do so.
Rockin’ Jump is an indoor trampoline park toddler friendly place to visit in Elk Grove. The building houses some small arcade games as well as several unique trampoline areas. Worried about taking your little ones to a place where a bunch of big kids are? There is a separate area specific for smaller kids AND they have special jump times just for toddlers! How awesome is that!?
